MHB volunteers help 42 families impacted by flood for house cleaning activities

Tens of thousands were affected by the recent flood tragedy in Malaysia. Johor, where MHB operates in, is not spared. More than 45 families were impacted in Pasir Gudang, Johor alone.

On 12 March 2023, 20 MHB volunteers went down to the ground to assist 42 families in Kampung Sentosa Damai Cahaya Baru, Pasir Gudang, Johor for house cleaning activities.

These houses by the coastal area were largely impacted and became the areas with most wastes trapped when the flood subsided.

MHB partnered up with District Office of Johor Bahru, Pasir Gudang City Council, Malaysian Armed Forces namely Malaysian Army and Royal Malaysian Navy as well as People’s Volunteer Corps and contributed in providing breakfast and lunch packs for more than 250 personnel involved from various agencies during the activity.

For those affected, we would like to extend our deepest sympathy and support during these challenging times. MHB will continue to work closely with relevant authorities and humanitarian agencies for this.
